For the last 10 years my job has been the counselling coordinator at Bluebell wood Children's Hospice, working with adults, young people and children specialising in bereavement and loss. I have also worked at St. Johns Hospice. For 5 years I worked in children's centres and this brought a diverse client base. I was awarded Council Worker of the Year 2012 for developing a support group for parents/carers of children with learning difficulties, disabilities such as autism to terminal illnesses.

I have lectured at universities and colleges teaching counselling skills at all different levels for 7 years.I also lecture to medical professionals at hospitals in Sheffield on 'People Skills' compassion and offering an empathic understanding to people/patients. 

 

What Can I Offer You?

 

I am now dedicating my career to private practice allowing me to offer more time towards my own counselling service. My practice is in central Doncaster, Wheatley Hills. 

 

I am an integrative counsellor which means I will tailor your sessions around you offering my knowledge and skills. 

 

It is important for me to offer a safe, warm and trusting, non-judgemental environment for you to come and explore your thoughts and feelings together. I am an integrative counsellor which means I tailor the sessions around you.

 

I work with all challenges people may face in life and so many of us struggle with depression, anxiety and stress due to difficult life experiences. When they enter your life they can take over. working together to get back in control and learning ways to manage our issues is so important. Self-care and self-worth are needed and I can support you in achieving this.
